Isa Pinder

Isa Pinder is a mixed media artist from dual french/british heritage. Her work is collage based and always starts out analogue. She mixes magazine cut outs with pastels, paint, pens, embroidery and recycled materials to craft evocative and captivating compositions. Digital effects are sometimes added to her collages if this contributes to the message. Her approach is experimental and intuitive.There is often a duality in her work between fragility and resilience which are seen through a positive light and offer an encouraging message.The themes of her work revolve around mental health, the human form, feminism, music, subcultures and ethnic minorities. Her work is heavily influenced by her travels, encounters, and the diverse cultures she immerses herself in. She is inspired and actively involved in social initiatives and community projects in London and worldwide encouraging freedom of expression, compassion, interfaith and peace.
