Jane completed a degree in linguistics and law followed by an MA in German Contemporary Studies before concentrating on painting, which has always been her passion.
In her work Jane constantly re-edits memories of landscapes and portraits by adding and taking away thin layers of translucent oil paint which may reveal or conceal what lies beneath.
Her work has been purchased for private and public collections and is in the West London catalogue of work in the public domain.
She has exhibited successfully both nationally and internationally, including the Museum of Modern Art Wales and Casa Batllo Barcelona, and was invited to showcase her work at Liverpool University and at the opening exhibition of the Beldam Gallery at Brunel University.
